Tio Pepe reviews-definitely one of Baltimore oldies, but goodies. the pinenut roll cake, the sangria, paella, all authentically Spanish perfection!

Tio Pepe's has been my family's go to restaurant for any special occasion ever since I can remember. I guess you could say I was spoiled growing up when it came to eating out. A pitcher of their renowned Sangria, Shrimp in garlic sauce, tournedos, ANYTHING drenched in that luscious champagne sauce, and who could forget the infamous pinenut roll that you never have room to finish until the next day, along with the rest of your leftovers :) I'm drooling just thinking about it. Oh, and just a tip, even if you make a reservation, do not expect to be seated right away. Instead, grab a drink at the tiny bar where everyone else is waiting to be seated. Bon Appetit!

Several years ago my hubby and I visited southern Spain and fell in love - with the people and especially the food! When we came back, we tried several restaurants hoping to find similar recipes to those we'd experienced in country, and Tio Pepe's was everything we'd hoped for. The food was wonderful, the service beyond compare and the atmosphere took us back to Spain right away. They have been around for many years, and we hope to visit them again many times in the future.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Tio Pepe's. It has been years since we were last there (no particular reason it is has been so long!) It was outstanding. The food, the service and the value for what you get. No wonder it remains one of Baltimore's top restaurants. We won't wait so long next time! Tios, keep doing what you have done so well for so long.
