Hampden's best kept restaurant secret is The Mill Steakhouse Tavern, hiding just off Clipper Mill and Ash, nestled against the Jones Falls between The Mill Center and the soon-to-be-renovated mill complex to its south. Under new ownership and with a master chef, this century-old building provides a cozy spot for first-class dining. The expansive bar is a Ravens Roost and a private lounge upstairs is ideal for parties. Just set your tastebuds for a treat-- the cream of crab soup here may well be Maryland's best!

Upstairs is rooms for rent, great for watching sport events.
Nighttime, the restaurant clears out and dancing starts.

So sorry for your disappointment Envirics! The restaurant closed at the end of 2011. Owner is seeking new tenant.

Yeah, it's a steakhouse!

Why has it been so long since I've been back? Popped over last night for an 8 oz. ribeye, fork tender and perfectly cooked, topped with melt-in-your-mouth delicious onion rings and flanked with 2 sides (I opted for the creamy spinach and grilled veg, both of which were superb)--only $13.95. Add $2 happy hour beer and my "posse" & I left well satisfied and with smiling tummies. Definitely planning another visit SOON1
