Enjoyed a marvelous meal at Frazier's on the Avenue (shrimp on pestoed fettucini Alfredo for me, chicken florentine and blackened tilapia for fellas. And reasonably priced!

The thing about Hampden is there are SO MANY great restaurants to choose from. But lunch will frequently find me enjoying the rich, thick cream of crab or perhaps a chicken or shrimp salad on 15-grain bread. In fact, on my way over now...

...where I had a 1/2 price Thursday burger special, perfectly cooked, exactly to order. Don't let the appearance put you off. Yeah, it's a bar but the menu goes well beyond--something for every budget.

Good food at a good price. Don't let the inside scare you away. A little too dark and not very inviting. Sometimes the music is too loud, but love the daily specials:
Wing night: good 35¢ wings
pizza night: surprisingly good pizza for $5.
burger night
All are surprisingly good for the price.
Good salads: caesar and greek are our favorites.

Service: friendly and attentive, although sometimes a little slow.

Final recommendation: Yes. For the prices vs. quality, a good deal when you just want to grab a bite in the neighborhood.

I do not like this bar at all. Bad bartenders. Bad atmosphere. Try a different bar.

I saw this really really good band play there on valentines day. I go back every day hoping to see them again.

The food's ok, but the jukebox is great. When you're there, ask for a starburst.
