B&O American Brasserie Restaurant in Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore www.bandorestaurant.com
B&O American Brasserie's menu celebrates the robust flavors and rustic foods of regional America and blends them with the energetic pace of the time-honored European brasserie. Mixing fresh ingredients and market-driven flavors with Chef Reidt's global background, our food is approachable yet refined. You'll find a large selection of small plates, charcuterie, cheeses and flatbreads complementing entrees like Fisherman's Stew, 24-hour Pot Roast and Hanger Steak Frites. Using only sustainable seafood and local farmers' products, we bring something fresh and original to the downtown restaurant scene. An oh-so-satisfying dessert menu completes a very memorable dining experience.
Chef E. Michael Reidt has been the subject of stories in Esquire, Bon Appétit, New York Times, Travel + Leisure, Vogue and Wine Spectator. He was named one of the country's "Best New Chefs" in 2001 by Food & Wine. And now, he has returned to his East Coast roots, doing what he loves to do: creating delicious, immediately recognizable regional American cooking in a classic brasserie atmosphere.

Last night was my second
Last night was my second time there and my friends first time. Service as always was fantastic. We both had a Grilled Romaine salad to start. I had a filet which was a special menu item, and a Adobo Braised Pork Shank was enjoyed for another entrée. Don’t spoil your meal and eat a lot of bread, but I have to say you must try the basil / sweet cream butter they serve with it…..HEAVEN!!!! Once again great job chef Michael Reidt

Brendon is one classic bartender rarely around these days. Check out his ode to Hemingway cocktail-Apricots in the afternoon. Am just back from Cuba and toured Hemingway's home! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfL71OKfBBE

Balt imorLocals Like-e B&O American Brasserie Restaurant
B&O American Brasserie Restaurant in Baltimore's Kimpton Hotel Monaco -Love the flatbreads aka fancy word for pizzaz. I ask for extra basil. Brandon surprised us with a new cocktail with fresh kumquats-yum. A true old-school bar master indeed and a lovely hotel bar restaurant that locals in Baltimore like too!

go for a drink
Some of the best cocktails in the city are devised here-thanks to Brendan and Eric, the dynamic duo from the recently deceased Ixia. Service is friendly, and the menu has several excellent thoughts. Though, waiting for the execution of each dish to be as promising and as delectable as it's descriptions. We're rooting for this place.
