E-Villa presents "A Love Bizarre" - a special Pre-Valentines Day Ball on Saturday, February 11 featuring special guest:

Âme [Innervisions, Germany]

One of Europe's finest exports makes their debut Baltimore appearance at Mt. Vernon's E-Villa venue.

with additional appearances by Dim Neon Sum [Better on Foot] Rosario [Deep Secrets]

Presented by E-Villa, Innervisions, Heid'n'Seek, Deep Secrets, & MissionTix. Âme is regarded as one of the most influential DJ/producers of our generation. Their regular nights at such establishments as Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), Fabric (London), and Air (Tokyo) are exceeded only by their marathon sets at what may be considered the best club in the world; Panorama Bar in Berlin.

Recent track-of-the-year contender remixes of Osunlade, putting out groundbreaking music from artists such as Culoe De Song, Laurent Garnier, and Tokyo Black Star on their own label "Innervisions" (co-run by Dixon) have earned them a position rarely matched by any european act that has ever performed in Baltimore.

After the scene-conquering single 'Rej' It would've been understandable if Âme had further pursued the sound which brought them such acclaim, but for Âme the appeal is in breaking down influences and songwriting habits in order to craft something fresh. Always focused on the future, it's the challenge of re-inventing that make the act an international phenomenon.

Âme are also crucial components of A Critical Mass, a live project that finds them, alongside Dixon and Henrik Schwarz, reworking the creative DNA of each other's songs in real-time. After having stolen the show at a recent Amsterdam Music Event summit, it's just one more facet of Âme's artistry, and further evidence of the duo's position at the forefront of electronic music.

Their landmark compilation of historical minimalism, titled The Grandfather Paradox earned a stellar review from the Baltimore CityPaper back in 2010, with current editor Lee Gardner giving a nod of approval to their Mix CD: a 3-disc retrospective that paid homage to the artists paving the way in the last 50 years -- including rare material from Arthur Russell to Robert Hood.

There will be no guestlist and only a limited number of tickets will be made available @ the price of 15$. We recommend you secure admission immediately for a nightlife event which will go down in history for anyone who has ever been interested in detroit influenced deep house.
