End of Summer Dance Party

Get ready to dance like no one’s watching! The Mall in Columbia is giving shoppers the chance to show off their best moves on National Dance Day at its End of Summer Dance Party. The festivities will be held on the Outdoor Plaza on Saturday, September 21, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature performances and a meet and greet with Poppin John, a contestant from World of Dance, season 3.

With over 200 million views on his YouTube channel, Poppin John is known for his mastery of popping and travels the world to teach his craft. Event attendees will have the opportunity to learn the basics of popping and other types of dance from the world-renowned expert.  

In addition to dancing with Poppin John, local dancers will be found around the Plaza and Restaurant Row, performing a variety of dance styles, including Zumba, hip-hop, tango and Bollywood. Choreography tutorials and other family-friendly activities will ensure that every member of the family has a memorable day. Several Mall retailers will join the fun with exclusive offers and discounts. The celebration is free and open to the public.
