The black-tie optional celebration will feature flavorful dishes, wine and beer, cocktails and a signature drink provided by Baltimore’s best restaurants and caterers. A jazz duo will entertain guests during the cocktail hour and The New Monopoly, Baltimore’s premier show/dance band, will perform dance hits and musical favorites from Cabaret, which will be highlighted by a professional dance performance.
What’s more, guests can bid in silent and live auctions on such items as: Camden Yards skybox parties and getaways to Paris, Steamboat Springs, the forest of West Virginia and Ocean City.
Co-chaired by SBLC Board Vice President Ian H. Neuman and SBLC Board Member Edward Krikorian, the gala will honor long-time SBLC supporters, Shelly Abrams (executive director, Special Counsel) and Venable, LLP.
Formed in 1990, SBLC is a community-based nonprofit organization providing functional literacy and life skills training in addition to career preparation services to educationally disadvantaged adults in the Baltimore area.
