Miss Irene's Closed???

Miss Irene's in fells Point is Closed???-Another promising restaurant has silently closed its doors. Without fanfare and hoopla the space occupied by Miss Irene's will be taken over by Poe's Oyster Bar! Passing by this afternoon as I went to get my daily Chai Latte from Fell's Grind I glanced, as I usually do, through the door of Miss Irene's. There posted on the curtained door was the name of the new 'restaurant' and below 'Under new ownership and New management'. Wow! When did that happen?? Any info anyone!? Ken? Ben?

Great meal at Miss Irene's

I am really sorry to hear this. We ate at Miss Irene's for the first time a few months ago and had a terrific experience. Several friends have also enjoyed their meals, as well. It would truly be disappointing if the restaurant closes.

My husband and I ate there 2 weeks ago and had a great meal. Staff told us they were in the process of updating the menu. The food was great. Hope that continues.

Miss Irene's

Rumor has it the upstairs will still be occupied by Miss Irene's as "fine dining" and downstairs will be the Poe's Oyster Bar. No word as to whether or not the downstairs bar will be converted into a traditional oyster bar or used as is.
