With the opening of its new, larger location in Baltimore County, Lydia Haskell’s The Fitness Rave brings its unique brand of fitness and fun to members along the I-95 corridor.
Building on the success of its original Harford County location, The Fitness Rave
group fitness studio announces its grand opening in a brand new, larger space in the Baltimore Crossroads at I-95 business park.
Slated to open to regular classes October 3, The Fitness Rave
’s new location is at 740 Concourse Circle, conveniently located just one mile off of I-95 on MD Route 43, between White Marsh and the Middle River waterfront in Eastern Baltimore County. The Fitness Rave
owner and CEO Lydia Haskell custom-designed the 8,000 square foot facility that features two huge studios equipped with powerful sound and light systems designed to make group fitness workouts electrifying.
When the original The Fitness Rave
opening event drew over 100 more people than expected despite a torrential rainstorm, Haskell knew she was on to something. She says, “I was hearing from so many people who love the energy and intensity of group fitness classes but don’t want to pay for all the extras that come with high-price gym memberships. What sets The Fitness Rave
apart is our price and commitment to making group fitness affordable and fun.” Haskell adds, “When you visit our website and hear the high-energy music, you know this is not your typical fitness club. We work out hard, but we make it fun, which is what keeps our members coming back.”
With more than 27 years experience in the fitness industry, Haskell knows a thing or two about keeping clients motivated. A native of Southern California, she has an impressive resume that includes a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education from Cal State University Fullerton, NPC national fitness titles, being a former NFL cheerleader for the Arizona Cardinals and the founding coach and choreographer for the Arizona State University basketball dance team. A proven entrepreneur, Haskell is also CEO and founder of the successful online fitness and figure competition supersite http://www.ProConsignOnline.com
which sells designer suits, jewelry, accessories, nutritional products and fitness DVD’s to customers world-wide.
Since 2005, Haskell has trained group fitness instructors around the country in her role as a national trainer and presenter with Les Mills, a New Zealand-based fitness company whose programs are offered in more than 12,000 clubs in 80 countries to over 5 million weekly users. All The Fitness Rave instructors are required to be certified and trained by Les Mills International and Zumba International. The studio offers a full range of Les Mills and Zumba programs including BODYPUMP™, BODYJAM™, BODYCOMBAT™, BODYFLOW®, SH'BAM™, CXWORX™ BODYSTEP™, Zumba Dance and Zumba Toning.
The Fitness Rave’s new studio will also offer Athletic Intervals and TRX® Suspension Training as well as circuit training equipment, cardio equipment, nutrition programs and personal training for all levels. Unique to The Fitness Rave are monthly Friday night Cardio dance parties, and Fitness “Raves” featuring special Les Mills and Zumba guest presenters.
“We are thrilled to be opening the new Fitness Rave
,” says Haskell. “We believe this new location will better serve the needs of our members and allow us to introduce many more people to this exciting, 'RAVEolutionary' way to stay in shape.”
Grand opening festivities will feature Les Mills national and International presenters on Thursday, September 29 and Super Zumba on Saturday, October 1, regular class schedule will launch on Monday, October 3.
