Baltimore's Finest Post Superior Deal for Baltimore Restaurant Week 2011!

David Derewicz, General Manager, The Prime Rib Baltimore, has longevity for maintaining the highest caliber one of Baltimore's premier restaurants and boy has he come up with a fabulous deal! From January 3 through January 20, The Prime Rib is offering 15 ounces of prime rib for just $15. This special will be available every night of the week including weekends. The restaurant is offering the “Fifteen for Fifteen” special as a prerequisite to the its participation in Baltimore’s Winter Restaurant Week taking place Janaury 21-30.

Other specials at The Prime Rib include half price wine list every Sunday and a special three-course meal for $45 in honor of the restaurant’s 45th anniversary. The Prime Rib was founded in 1965 by famed restaurateur Buzz Beler who later opened restaurants in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Over the years, the Prime Rib has earned numerous awards including Best of Baltimore by Baltimore magazine, a Zagat rating as the #1 steakhouse in Baltimore, DC and Philadelphia, one of the top five romantic restaurants in the U.S. by Food and Wine magazine, and an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine.

The third annual Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week kicks off January 21 – 30. Participating restaurants will offer specially selected 3-course lunch and dinner prix fixe menus. Guests will enjoy food prepared by Baltimore’s best chefs at restaurants located throughout Little Italy, Mount Vernon, Fells Point, Federal Hill, Harbor East, and Inner Harbor.

All participating restaurants will offer a choice of pre-selected three-course dinner menus available for $35.11 per person (not including liquor, tax and gratuity). Select restaurants will also offer three-course lunch menus for $20.11 (not including liquor, tax and gratuity).

More Than 85 Restaurants Will Treat Diners to Affordable Luxury

(Baltimore, MD) - For the third straight year, Visit Baltimore and Downtown Partnership of Baltimore are organizing Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week as a complement to their Summer Restaurant Week promotion.

Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week, one of the region’s most popular culinary traditions, will feature more than 85 of the region’s best restaurants and chefs. Participating establishments located throughout Baltimore will offer special three-course dinner prix fixe menus for $35.11 (liquor, tax and gratuity not included). Many will also offer three-course lunch prix fixe menus for $20.11 (liquor, tax and gratuity not included). Select restaurants will also offer additional value-added opportunities including chef’s dinner, wine flights and wine pairings to accompany the prix fixe meals.

Baltimore’s Winter Restaurant Week is the perfect way to banish those winter blues without breaking the bank. And it’s also a wonderful opportunity for participating restaurants to attract extra business during a typically slower time of year.

A complete list of participating restaurants for Baltimore’s Winter Restaurant Week is available online at www.BaltimoreRestaurantWeek.com. The site will include menus for most of the participating restaurants, parking information, and a map of restaurant locations. Consumers are urged to book their reservations early before the restaurants are booked.

For every restaurant that participates in Baltimore’s Winter Restaurant Week, Visit Baltimore and Downtown Partnership will donate $50 to The Journey Home, an agency that provides services to assist the homeless in finding permanent and supportive homes. Diners can also make a $10 donation by texting the word JOIN to 20222.
